November 2018 Founder's Day meeting photos and recap

Our Founder’s Day luncheon was at the Osgoode Hall restaurant on Nov. 13, 2018. We had a good turnout and the lunch was served in a lovely setting, along with choices of wine and dessert of crème brûlée. Members enjoyed the company of their neighbours, many of whom were visitors.

Former Ward 31 Beaches-East York city Councillor Janet Davis spoke to our group at our November Founder’s Day luncheon and meeting. She came around to both tables to discuss local politics and her focus on child care as a means to woman’s equally. Janet Davis was a wonderful addition to the celebration for the 125th anniversary of the founding of TACW.

2018 we saw many new topics and notable events across TACW and the Provincial and National councils. The network and influence of our organization still holds after 125 years and we hope to continue engagement for more to come.

Two delegates will represent our group at PCWO’s Annual General Meeting, returning to Queen’s Park on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

We are starting to think about our “New Year’s Resolutions” to discuss in February. Hope to see you all at the Christmas meeting, which will feature a lovely catered lunch. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
