10 activities to make the most of your time during self-isolation

Check in on your friends and family. They’re just a phone call or email away!

 

Tend to your garden. Spring is finally upon us.

 

Declutter: books, papers, clothes, cupboards, photos and boxes... won’t it be fun to go through your cherished belongings?

 

Read a book. Revisit a favourite from your home library or download an ebook from tpl.ca. Maintain a healthy diet of media, outside of the doom and gloom.

 

Learn to cook new things – allrecipes.com or Google is a good place to start for inspiration.

 

Value your free time. What’s one chore, project, or task that you’ve been avoiding? Make a to-do list.

 

Play with your pets. They must love the extra attention with you at home. Same for plants and kids!

 

Practice mindfulness. Breathe. Relax. This can be explored further through meditation, therapy resources, or video tutorials and articles online

 

Stream music or podcasts through Spotify, YouTube, etc. Listening to music can be healing and you can access almost anything by downloading inexpensive apps to your smartphone or TV.

 

Get lots of sleep! Keep a good schedule.
